Baby Bump!

I wanted to share my bump progress... I found this super cute idea on my.latest.obssession and had to document the bump in a way my family who lives in other states could share in my journey as well. The babe has been hanging out in my hips (or tush, depending on how you're lookin' at it), and just recently 'popped' out.

Week 17

Week 19

Then I skipped a couple weeks cause I got busy lazy...

Week 25

And most recently, Week 28

So there's the.bump ... baby is healthy and kicking (literally, in my ribs... all the time!).

- Mrs & Bump Prep
You know when you just have this feeling for awhile... in your gut... and no, I'm not talking about gas or that pad thai you weren't so sure about last night... The feeling I'm talking about has been the urging need to start a blog. I'm no one special, I don't have idea's that are so outside the normal realm. I'm no blogging expert- but I adore pouring over other blogs out there and more often than not think 'Ahhhh- so it's not just me who feels that way...' or 'I might not agree with all that, but it is some good advice for someone...' Thus, my sweet little blog has taken shape in my mind, and here it comes to life.

A little bit about the Husband & myself (we'll just refer to ourselves as Mr. & Mrs. Prep) to start. We signed the papers at the courthouse in Fresno in December 2010, while wearing jeans and flip flops, then had our dream wedding in October 2011. Shortly after, we were surprised and elated to find out we're expecting baby #1 in October 2012. We love to travel and explore the world, have a passion for eating out (not always on the cheap, either). On the flip side, we're extremely determined when it comes to setting goals- when the opportunity to move back to sunny San Diego (from gloomy Seattle) and live with my gracious parents in order to save enough $$$ to afford a home in the expensive market that is SoCal we grabbed on and haven't looked back.

Being an Economic's major- the Mr. is very savvy with a budget, so we're following a fairly strict budget have a plan to pay off // save just about $50k within the next sixteen months. We don't live off an extravagant income, and both work very hard to earn a living. We're making sacrifices while still enjoying life and know that what the future holds will be worth every dinner made at home (vs. eating out), and golf trip that doesn't happen.

I invite you to follow our journey as I learn to be a more budget conscious gal, and actually cook at home, my journey through pregnancy, living at home over the age of 30, and saving our pants off!

The Mr & I are fairly private about financial matters, but I feel as though if we can help to inspire someone with our very real, Southern California (where everything is more expensive) budget, then it will be worth it. Feel free to ask questions and I'll do my best to answer!

Here's to an adventure!
